London Bridge and Los Angeles

This morning we woke up in Lake Havasu City and drove back to the London Bridge for a quick photo.

We then hit the road and headed for Los Angeles. Our assumption was that LA would not have been too busy on a Sunday afternoon...well not when the LA Lakers play the Boston Celtics in an NBA Finals game that night-it was crazy here! Despite the hustle and bustle of the city, we checked out the Walk of Fame and Grauman's Chinese Theater (my hands fit perfectly inside Judy Garland's). Our rental car is a Toyota Yaris (thank gosh-it is great on gas) and we drove it up curvy, twisty Muholland Drive to see some gorgeous homes and even more gorgeous views. We then searched out Rodeo Drive which is surprisingly difficult to find-we think the rich people like to keep it hidden from tourists like us. We also drove through Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey on the way back to the hotel (which is across from LAX airport). We've been busy the last few days and are looking forward to two restful days in Santa Barbara. Off to bed...check back soon for more updates.

Mohave Desert
$5.59 gasoline (only a couple of gallons to hold us over)
Crazy terrain: volcanic rock, desert, lush land near Colorado river
